Spent some time today playing with hills and how I want the hex
terrain to work with flowing hills rather than occasional lumps on the
battlefield. I have been cutting extra tiles to provide unpainted
supports beneath the flocked surface.
I recently added some stream tiles to go on the surface.
I am quite pleased with the way it is looking.
I have enough basic hex terrain cut to cover an 8'x 5'table which
was my eventual aim. I need to cut a load more "support" tiles to build
the hills up and more edge supports so that the hills can start right on
the table edges. But it is coming together...
Very neat and good looking battle field.
ReplyDeleteThanks - it is starting to look the way I envisaged it
DeleteGood supply to fill the big table.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think 8' x 5' is the largest I will go with this. I do have cloths that will cover a 12'x 5' table but I have never used them
DeleteMike, those look great. I have thought about them in the past but I'm sort of happy with my old 2 by 2 flock covered boards with drop on scenery. Nowhere near as flexible or subtle as these though.
ReplyDeleteThanks - they have taken a far amount of work but I am happy with the result.
